HP Climate Change Conclave - “सुदृढ़ हिमालय - सुरक्षित भारत”
In order to promote multi-stakeholder engagement in the State including neighbouring States in the Himalayan region as well as in the downstream and deliberate on the challenges associated with impact of climate change and disaster risk reduction, GoHP has organized two-days Conference- “SECURE HIMALAYA- SAFE INDIA” सुदृढ़हिमालय - सुरक्षितभारत, w.e.f. 18th to 19th December 2021 at Shimla, with focus on reducing climate change induced risks & vulnerabilities in the Western Himalayan region with following objectives:
- Discuss climate risks, community preparedness, role of financial institutions and climate change action plan in the region to reduce climate induced risks.
- Announcement on Knowledge Network and State Platform on CCA and DRR
- Launch of State Action Plan on Climate Change (version 2—developed with technical support from GIZ) and Release of SDG 13 poster with SAPCC linkages
- Develop a charter of regional cooperation for climate change and disaster risk reduction in the Himalayan Region.
